I had the opportunity to illustrate my first book recently for the Manteo Waterfront resort.. The first image is the cover they designed, and the second was my concept.

I have a problem. Whenever I go out walking, I collect things I find on the ground. Rocks, interesting sticks, rusty nuts and bolts. I was looking at this collection of mine, and decided to make it into something. I wrapped them in wire, added wings and had a flying menagerie. Once I figure out how to attach them in a sturdier fashion, I will hang the bugs outside where they belong, until then...

My New Bench

My amazingly, talented boyfriend Matt made this bench for our front stoop out of salvaged wood. I think it used to be part of an old farmhouse, and made it's way into the burn pile. Makes a great bench.

With this group of sketches, the original plan was an image for their pro bono section, but, they decided to go an entirely different route, and requested an image for their contact page. This is what we came up with.
